AUTHOR

My name is Judit Porto González and I am the the person behind Porto-Giese Multilingual Dictionary. I love languages, books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, libraries and bookstores. I was born in Barcelona. I grew up in Galicia, Spain and, after college, I moved to France, the UK, Ireland, Germany and the USA.

Currently I am back in Galicia, the land of my ancestors, with my husband and my son. Soon we will be living in the Netherlands and hopefully we will be learning a new language, Dutch.

Our multilingual dictionary is just a reflection of how I understand life. We live in a global and diverse world. My child was born in California, my husband in Texas, and myself in Catalonia. Since we moved to Galicia two years ago, our son Mateo has learned Galician, and he keeps speaking English and Spanish. He is also interested in constantly learning sentences, words and expresions in both French and Dutch.

Somehow his father and I have passed our passion for traveling and languages on to him, and we know that these experiences will enrich him.
